Ross Mathews  - remembrances from his grandchildren

For the past few years my brother and I have had a running joke that out of the 70 or so million folks who participated in WWII, our money was on Grandpa Ross to be the last man standing out of all of them.  I think at one point my brother found an actual Vegas line on who would be the last survivor from the second World War.  We never actually placed the bet but had we, our money would have been on Ross.  He had the spirit that wins battles and eventually wars and to know what my grandfather had endured and overcome in life was to know he was unshakable.
